Welcome all to my random entries blog, where I'll cover anything and everything that catches my fancy. This could be anything from my recounting of a killer meal I made, to my latest bike ride.
In this first installment, I'm going to write a bit about my recent entertaining of becoming a vegetarian. O.k., maybe not so much as go vegetarian, but more "meat light" than I currently am (bacon should be a food group of it's own). See, I wouldn't mind being a vegetarian, I really wouldn't. I like
salads as much as the next guy. No, the problem is that I happen to
really enjoy a good steak. So what I've decided to do is to try and cut
back on how much meat I eat and eat a wider variety of vegetables and
such. Not exactly easy in my house hold, what with cooking for very
picky eaters, so when I find something that is both "meat lite" and a
crowd-pleaser I don't need to be told twice.
For example, one of the recipe's I've made a couple times lately (chicken broccoli casserole) has just a hint of chicken. Can't go wrong with that casserole, very filling. (link)
I've been eying a butter bean burger recipe, though I doubt I'd get anyone other than myself to try them. Not that I blame them. They sound good to me though. (link)
